Terms of Service

ResuBuild is an AI-powered resume and cover letter improvement and drafting service. It helps you structure, rewrite, score, and tailor resume content. It is a writing assistant — not a guarantee of employment, interviews, or any specific outcome.

This is important, so please read it carefully:

• All content the service produces — including summaries, bullet points, job titles, skills, metrics, and cover letters — is AI-generated and provided as a suggestion only. It may be inaccurate, incomplete, generic, or not factual.
• To create compelling resumes, the AI may infer job titles and generate example metrics that are not drawn from information you provided. These are starting points, not statements of fact.
• You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying every resume and cover letter before using it. You must ensure that all claims, dates, employers, titles, achievements, and metrics are truthful and accurately reflect your real experience.
• ATS scores, keyword matches, and other analyses are estimates generated by our own heuristics. They do not reflect any specific employer’s applicant tracking system and do not guarantee that your resume will pass any screening.
• ResuBuild is not responsible or liable for any false, inaccurate, misleading, or fabricated information that appears on a resume or cover letter, or for any consequences arising from submitting such content to employers or third parties.

You must provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials secure, and be at least 16 years old to use ResuBuild. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Creating multiple accounts to evade free-tier limits is prohibited.

• The free tier includes a limited number of generations per account.
• Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (currently $9.99/month) through our third-party payment processor.
• You can cancel at any time; your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
• We may change pricing or plan features with reasonable notice.

You agree not to:

• Use the service to create knowingly false or fraudulent documents.
• Submit content that infringes others' rights or violates any law.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the service or its rate limits.
• Resell or redistribute the service without our permission.

You retain ownership of the information you provide and the resumes and cover letters you generate. You grant ResuBuild a limited license to process, store, and transmit your content (including to our AI provider) solely to operate and provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will be accurate or suitable for any purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResuBuild and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of opportunities, employment, data, or profits, arising from your use of the service or from any content it generates. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold ResuBuild harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of the content you create or submit, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms — including any claim that your resume or cover letter contained false or misleading information.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the service. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes may be communicated through the service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
